Article: From Their Own Mouths - Global Warming is a Fraud

Here's an article with a series of quotes about "Global Warming".

"We've got to ride this global warming issue. Even if the theory of global warming is wrong, we will be doing the right thing in terms of economic and environmental policy." - Timothy Wirth, President of the UN Foundation

"No matter if the science of global warming is all phony... climate change provides the greatest opportunity to bring about justice and equality in the world." - Christine Stewart, fmr Canadian Minister of the Environment

"It doesn't matter what is true, it only matters what people believe is true." - Paul Watson, co-founder of Greenpeace

"We need to get some broad based support, to capture the public's imagination... So we have to offer up scary scenarios, make simplified, dramatic statements and make little mention of any doubts... Each of us has to decide what the right balance is between being effective and being honest." - Stephen Schneider, Stanford Professor of Climatology, lead author of many IPCC reports

"The only way to get our society to truly change is to frighten people with the possibility of a catastrophe." - emeritus professor Daniel Botkin

"The extinction of the human species may not only be inevitable but a good thing." - Christopher Manes, Earth First!

  1. Hm, dude, I don't think that those quotes prove that global warming is a fraud. Actually, if those carefully-selected quotes are the best proof a conspiracy site has, I'd say that's a proof that it ISN'T a fraud.

Some of the quotes are saying we really need to get rid of some people to save the planet. Others were saying that we need to make sure the third world doesn't develop. Sure, that's callous and disgusting. But I don't take that as proof that global warming was invented as an EXCUSE to beat people down.

Bottom line - global warming or no global warming, there is no doubt we need to stop destroying the environment - urgently.

Though there is such a thing as lesser of two evils, I would be hesitant at best to say we need to use fear tactics and manipulation to get people to change. (I don't know what Al Gore's game is, but he uses emotional manipulation a lot in his video. Probably in part why people want to believe GW is a fraud. Because they smell something's up with this guy). So the alternative is rapid evolution and getting the truth out. We should remember that meat and dairy products are the greatest cause of climate change, so we need to get everyone vegan - and that does require evolution, no magical technology will save us. For people at a low vibration meat is very addictive.

Evolution is hard, so maybe the world is doomed - but there is hope. It's also kind of cool in a way, though, because we NEED a wake-up call. I don't want to wait ten thousand years for this world to be in a state of love (my soul mission ties me here, I believe... agh!). It's make or break.

So let's get evolving, damnit. Bring it on.

  2. No doubt that protecting the environment is and should be a large priority for the human race. Absolutely no doubt about that and i don't mean to say otherwise.

However there is evidence to prove that Global Warming (as in, climate change) is in fact not an issue. The data actually suggests that the earth has been slowly, but surely, COOLING since 1998 (which is the opposite to 'warming' for those playing at home!). There is actually now more scientific evidence that an "ice age" is more of a likely problem, than global warming. However the graph that is always shown by medias and such is the one that stops at 1998.

The Earth goes in cycles and climates will change. It's natural. However, the general worry is that the governments will use this 'global warming' thing as a money-making and fear-mongering issue. It's already apparent. Obama constantly speaks of it. Al Gore is trying to push a "Carbon tax", pretending that it will help our "global warming" problem. It's pretty fucked up.

Sure, these quotes may not prove anything. But they're worth taking into consideration at the least.

  3. Climate change is different to global warming as it encompasses both the warming in some areas of the world and the cooling that would likely happen in areas such as Europe as the normal flow of winds and oceans are disrupted, hence why climate change is now used instead of global warming. I don't believe there is much doubt that we are undergoing climate change, how much of that is down to human activity is entirely up to debate. The trouble that comes in using quotes such as these is that they are often taken out of context and need to be read as such. It would certainly be interesting to read/hear the context from which they came.
