Time moves along like how a fern tree is structured. On every fern tree you can focus on a leaf which is like a mini fern tree in itself. Then on THAT mini fern tree there is ANOTHER mini-er fern tree, and so on. The cycle repeats and gets infinitely smaller and divided up into little mini fern trees until all a fern tree leaf comprised of ALL fern tree leaves is reached. It reaches a zero point. An inconceivable point of oneness. "Point zero". Same with time.

Thought of the day #4: Time
The nature of time can be found in the nature of... well... nature.
The Fibonacci Sequence in Lateralus, and the Spirals of Life
Ever wondered what the big deal about Tool is?
Curious about the depth to which they delve? Watch the following vid.
This vid will resonate mostly with people who have heard of the Fibonacci sequence before, and like the band Tool.
However, even if you haven't and/or don't, then bare with me. The reason for putting this vid up has a purpose.
Here it is:
What should be understood is that I'm not putting this up to promote Tool (even though they're awesome. (woops).). The focus here is the Fibonacci sequence (google it).
I had an interesting psychedelic experience come over me one day where i became completely aware of all things in life occurring in spirals. Thoughts, events, feelings, situations, time, patterns, objects, nature, everything. And then in those spirals there were other spirals, and in THOSE spirals there were spirals. The pattern continues until BANG - we have what we perceive as reality. The spirals are so deep within spirals within spirals within spirals and so on that we don't even recognise them as spirals.
It's hard to explain, and nevermind if you don't understand. (Hell, even i can barely understand my own epiphany at this stage). But the point is, it was this experience that felt so significant and real that lead me to ask questions about spirals and its relation to the nature of the flow of life. I pursued for knowledge. I thought to myself, "Surely, somewhere in the world somebody else has had similar realizations too", so i googled away, and sure enough, "the truth was out there".
Enter the concepts of the Fibonacci Sequence and the Golden Ratio (google them).

If you can't be bothered googling for yourself. Here's some links from a quick dig i just did then:
- The Fibonacci Number (wiki)
- The Golden Ratio (wiki)
- The Fibonacci Sequence, Spirals and the Golden Man
- Scientists find clues to the formation of Fibonacci spirals in nature
- The Divine Proportion
- The Fibonacci Series
- Fibonacci Numbers in Nature
That should be enough for now.
The Fibonacci Sequence, although simple, i believe has a complex significance to it that could provide answers to the nature of the flow of life. I believe there is a divine meaning behind it, and understanding it could reveal answers about reality and time. Just gotta study it now.
